Disability-Friendly Sidewalk in N. Jakarta Will Be Complete This Year

The construction of the disability-friendly sidewalk at six locations in Jakarta has touched 50 percent. It continues to be accelerated thus can be finished on tme, precisely by the end of this year.

Head of North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept, Hamdan disclosed the sidewalk construction using floorhardener material will facilitate the people with disabilities. Because, it is equipped by a tile direction.  

"Using tile direction, will facilitate the people with disabilities. In addition, it will improve aesthetic," he expressed, Friday (12/2).

Those sidewalks are located at road access of Marunda Flat (1 kilometer and 3.2 meters wide); Jalan Kramat Jaya, in front of Jakarta Islamic Centre (930 meters and 2.87 meters wide; Jalan Yos Sudarso (1.4 kilometers and 2.3 meters wide; Jalan Stasiun Tanjung Priok (737 meters and 3.6 meters wide; Jalan Gunung Sahari and Hidup Baru (753 meters and 2.4 meters wide; and Jalan Pluit Timur Raya (972 meters and 2.7 meters wide.

According to him, not only beautified, the sidewalk is also equipped by sparing pipe as a lane for optic cable utility. Thus its installation does not need demolishment. 

"We're targeting to finish this project in mid-December," he finished.
